We are currently looking for a
Student Worker – Development of smart manufacturing solutions
for our International Innovation Centre located in Aachen
Your principal tasks:
Get familiar with the principles of data acquisition and usage from machine tool controls and built-in sensors to simulate, monitor and control processes.
Use a mix of machine learning based and deterministic approaches to process data to predict or monitor process state conditions such as forces, vibrations, tool wear and part quality.
Develop together with us software-based smart manufacturing solutions to increase productivity and protect the environment by reducing waste of resources.
Test the developed solutions in our shopfloor on Makino machine tools by manufacturing die-and-mold, aerospace, or automotive parts.
Your qualifications & experience:
Advanced knowledge in programming (Python, C#, C++, GCode, CAM, …)
Out-of-the-box thinking and motivation to follow new paths
Enthusiasm and knowledge in machine tools, CNC, process data analysis, control strategies and simulation
Interest in Japanese Culture of advantage
