Makino’s uCell B80 automation system addresses the evolving needs of die & mould manufacturers. Comprehensive Automation That Lowers Costs

Makino’s uCell B80 is a compact, 1-metre-wide automation cell for vertical machining centres (VMCs) and sinker EDMs. Fully customisable, it supports a range of part and electrode setups to meet specific production needs.

A robotic arm loads parts into the VMC or EDM, and electrodes into the EDM, with automatic hand exchange for different chuck sizes. The user-friendly design features large doors for easy access and wide front and rear windows for clear visibility.

The uCell B80 can serve one or two machines and is controlled by Makino’s advanced cell controller. It operates flexibly as either a master or slave system.
