Skills required

Having a degree in Marketing or Event-Management with excellent communication skills and corresponding work experience is mandatory. Promoting sales, advertising, acquiring market information are normal marketing activities.
 
The marketer at Makino need some technical and economical background to decision pillars for a business to buy a machine tool.As well, organizational skills, cost tracking and project management are skills, which are mandatory.
 
In nowadays-global market, the marketer works on an international environment, so fluent English skills and the ability to deal with cultural differences are important. Due to the same international scenario, the availability and willingness to travel is a mandatory asset.

The marketing department represents Makino outside of the company and the message need to be helpful and easy to understand to our customers. Inside the organization, the marketer needs to transmit also the news and customer needs observed in the market.
 
Additionally, digital marketing is getting an importance to reach the customer that never had before. So digital channels are nowadays a platform to interact with customers in levels never seen before

Makino in Japan and Singapore research and develop the machines in cooperation with product management in the different areas of the world to understand the demands of the market. Marketing receives the information to introduce and advertise these machines to the right market at the right time by social media, exhibitions and events, presentations, advertisement, customer visits and especially by global and local product launches

What makes us different to competitors?
There is a very small, dynamic and dedicated marketing team at Makino Europe with highly educated people, with different nationalities and backgrounds and with great experience in very different markets from engineering to sales. There is also a very good cooperation between the different marketing departments of Makino in Japan, Singapore and US. This makes the marketing structure unique and powerful.
