A valve body is a part with tight tolerances. Normally the CMK requirements are quite demanding to ensure process stability.
These parts can be produced on a Makino a40 or a51nx machine and the performance will be excellent. However, depending the production necessities, a line of a51nx machines could need a lot of space.
For ABS bodies the L2 machining centre is a machine that meets these production requirements and is only about 20% of the size of the a51nx. This way, manufacturers can make more effective use of their floor space.
