100 mm is a milestone in wire EDM. Beyond that limit, basic EDM machines start to struggle. But Makino’s U series can be equipped with a dedicated crystal technology which brings better control through a dedicated CFS board and a dedicated means of distributing the energy from the generator. The ultimate outcome of the technology is high quality levels with fewer cuts in high-width parts.

The Hyper i control utilises a straightforward 3-step operation process of Program/Setup/Run, and this efficient, user-friendly interface is used for all Makino wire and RAM EDM machines. The Hyper i control also comes with digital onboard electronic manuals, instructional training videos and an advanced E-Tech Doctor as standard help functions that empower operators through integrated and convenient resources at their fingertips.
