A standard Vision type Broken Tool Sensor resides in the Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) magazine where it automatically confirms the condition of drills, taps and other single point tools. Unique single piece way-cover design, dual-supported tool-change arm and Makino spindle technology provide the foundation for industry-leading reliability.
Chip disposal is improved by the Makino design. Close-to-vertical walls and three channel trough guide the chips directly out of the machine chamber. Chip accumulation and the need of coolant for chip evacuation are extremely reduced.
Easily access the machine chamber. Tool wear and machining results can be checked without any obstacles. The axis configuration allows horizontal setup. Wide opening doors allow carrying the workpieces and fixtures by crane. Steps are installed so that setting up the workpiece by entering the pallet changer is possible.
