This member of the Slim family comes in two different configurations to meet the specific needs of two distinct user groups. The best-of-both-worlds model features two machining areas – one for milling and one for turning – both on the same table. Targeted primarily at job shops, this machine reduces process complexity, which is particularly valuable for smaller firms. Since each operation – milling or turning – is consolidated within a single machine, users receive a finished part at the end of each cycle. As its milling and turning capabilities remain uncompromised, this machine truly offers the best of both worlds.

The second Slim3n Mill Turn configuration is geared towards production companies requiring larger turning diameters that would not benefit from process consolidation. In this version, the turning motor is positioned at the centre of a more symmetrical table, with higher capacity for components such as EV motor housings. Both configurations include a skiving option, which greatly enhances performance when producing geared features, along with a 3,000 rpm motor for turning and the same spindle configurations as the Slim3n.
